Salmon Hunter Charter Fishing on Lake Michigan!

The Salmon Hunter is a 29 foot Pursuit Sport Fisherman powered by twin 350HP Mercruisers engines.  She is equipped with state of the art downriggers, rods and reels, and all of the latest lure color patterns for all conditions.

Captain Tony Hofstetter has been fishing on the Lake since 1979, and has held a captain's license for over 20 years.

The most common Lake Michigan species that we target are Chinook ("King") Salmon, Coho Salmon, Steelhead, Lake Trout, and Brown Trout.  On rare occasion it is possible to catch a "grand slam", however your catch will most likely consist of at least two or three different species depending on the time of year as noted below.

Fishing for salmon and trout involves trolling with artificial spoons, plugs, and flashers.  Depending  on the depth of the fish, these are presented with downriggers, planer boards, Dipsey Divers, or a combination of all three.
